MARF TAKES THE MIC

You packed the stands for Ya_Fire. You saw the masterclass, you saw the throwdown, and some of you even took a shot (with success) at a champion.

Now the Pro‑Am series rolls on, and this time we’re handing the headset to someone who’s been the voice of Asphalt Esports’ biggest moments. He’s called the overtakes, the crashes, the clutch finishes  and now he’s stepping out of the commentary box and onto the grid.

That’s right, the guy behind the mic is about to show you what he’s got behind the wheel. So, who’s the caster with the racing gloves on? 

MEET MARF

Some people play the game. Others narrate its greatest moments. Marf does both.

Born in Los Angeles and proud to represent it, he describes himself in three words: ambitious, curious, passionate. If you’ve ever tuned into an Asphalt Esports broadcast, you’ve probably heard his voice rising with every overtake... but now it’s your turn to race him.

When Marf isn’t behind a mic or a steering wheel, he’s living the California car culture dream! Ripping through canyon roads in his Solar Orange Audi TTS, camera in hand, hunting down the wildest builds at local meets. It’s not just a passion; it’s a lifestyle.

Now, for a fun fact. Marf has been making YouTube videos for over a decade. Mobile gaming videos since 2013. How deep does it go? He reviewed Asphalt 8 on launch day, August 23rd, 2013. Live commentaries on Gameloft classics like Modern Combat and Gangstar followed. The man’s been part of this universe almost as long as the games themselves. That’s a different kind of legacy.

THE ROAD TO THE MIC 

Marf’s Asphalt story didn’t begin with a trophy. It began on an iPod Touch 4, glued to Asphalt 8. When he unlocked that little Audi TTS, the pocket rocket of the C‑Class,  something clicked. Years later, that very car became his real‑life dream machine.

By the time Asphalt 9 launched, he’d already spent a decade in the franchise. Tilt‑to‑steer felt like breathing, so competing was simply the next gear. He chased leaderboard spots across multiple NA seasons and eventually reached the ESL Mobile Open NA Season 2 finals, grabbing a Top 4 finish.

But his true calling was waiting off the track.

ESL launched a contest to find the next NA caster for Asphalt Esports,  a tweet, a video submission, and a simple question: who’s the best voice for the job? Marf sent in his entry and won. Just like that, the ESL x Asphalt Caster Competition turned a player into one of the most recognizable voices in the community.

“I didn’t know it at the time, but it would lead to an unbelievable amount of lifelong memories and give me the ability to meet so many amazing people.”

Soon he was standing at the Porsche Asphalt Series Finals 2023 in Barcelona, counting down live: “3…2…1… and we are live!” The energy of that moment still fuels him. “The atmosphere was electric.”

Not every broadcast was a walk in the park. At Gamescom 2025, Marf felt his commentary missed the mark. “I wasn’t myself. I was disappointed with my lack of flow and iconic one‑liners.” That stumble drove him to work relentlessly, and he bounced back hard at the Ferrari Esports Asphalt Series Finals in 2025 in Maranello, Italy.

Now Marf’s focus is growth. He views his future self as his biggest competitor, always chasing a better version of himself.

His dream? “Casting a pulse‑pounding grand finals race for Asphalt in a massive arena packed to the brim with thousands of screaming fans and hundreds of flashbulbs lighting up the stage.” 

PLAYER INSIGHTS:

• Playstyle: Unpredictable. “I might switch paths or fake‑out a different route in a close battle. Or… I might smack the other car into a railing.”
• Strength: Pure love for the game. “The positive attitude and passion means I never get dissuaded from playing more and trying to improve.”
• Kryptonite: Speed tricks. “Nailing the rare maneuvers the pros are innovating with is tough, especially with tilt‑to‑steer. Every move has to be precise.” 

HIS ADVICE TO YOU 

“Have fun! If you’re not having fun, what’s the point? Find the path that suits you, and ride it all the way.”

And a competitive insight you might be sleeping on? Balance. “Sometimes all you need is to bet on your opponent making a mistake by getting overconfident. The most consistent players are the ones who stick to their line and master the fundamentals.” 

PRO‑AM: HOW IT WORKS 

This time, the format is simple. Marf is on the grid for every single race. No separate qualifying rounds. Just six races, wheel‑to‑wheel, with six community racers pulled straight from our Discord Stage. The caster becomes the competitor, and he’s bringing his mic energy to the driver’s seat.

Six races. Seven drivers. One Marf.
Finish as the top community racer, and you take a prize. Finish higher than Marf ? That’s a bonus that proves you didn’t just beat the pack, you beat the voice of Asphalt Esports!
