UPCOMING MULTIPLAYER CHANGES
The Asphalt Team has been paying close attention to your feedback, particularly regarding our Multiplayer modes, and we need your help to guide some of our upcoming changes!
Before that and to give you some extra context, we'd like to share with you some upcoming multiplayer changes and finishing things off with a poll!
So, let's get straight into the nitty-gritty and discuss some changes headed your way next update.
INCREASED AD REWARDS
Ok, so this impacts a few more modes other than Multiplayer, but the decision for the change was fueled by Multiplayer rewards.
Previously, finishing first limited your Ad rewards, and capping your rewards lower than what you could receive by finishing second. This was having an overall negative impact, as players could be encouraged to sandbag if they were after Credits.
We've now resolved the issue, allowing you to receive Ad rewards even if you finish first and we've also increased the max Ad Rewards cap to 150,000 Credits.
There's no longer any reason not to give it your all!
MILESTONE REBALANCING
We've heard you. Grinding out the Milestones each season can feel like a pain, and we're here to lessen the load!
The current Milestone balancing would require you to accrue 12,500 Series Score to be able to complete all 71 milestones.
Next update, we'll be axing the required Series Score to 6,000 while still maintaining all 71 milestones and rewards.
That effectively will cut your required effort in half and give you more time to complete your season goals.
WORLD SERIES FILTERS REBALANCING
The Team also wants to improve our MP1 filters, to keep them balanced and competitive.
We're currently looking into addressing the top outliers of each tier, and are taking a more car performance-based approach to help identify these.
Thanks to a mix of player feedback, internal tests and win rate data, we've been able to identify our top outliers and moved them to a more appropriate league.
Car | Previous | New |
Kimera Evo37 | Sliver II | Sliver I |
Acura NSX GT3 EVO | Gold III | Gold II |
Ferrari 599XX EVO | Gold II | Gold I |
Maserati MC20 | Gold I | Platinum III |
McLaren F1LM | Platinum II | Platinum I |
For Champion League, we're also bumping up all the cars with available EVO options up to CHAMPION I, to ensure the lower tiers are not pressured into competing with the new EVO cars so early on.
Of course, filter balancing will be an ongoing effort and we can always use your help and feedback to keep identifying more outliers that would be better suited to a different league.
MULTIPLAYER NAMETAGS
We took another stab at it, and hopefully nametags should now be less obtrusive while on the track, as nametags for cars which are further away will be appropriately reduced in size.
Just a simple quality of life improvement, but we hope it makes it easier to see the rest of the track as you race.
WORLD SERIES MODE ROTATION
The Community has let us know that our World Series mode rotations were starting to feel a bit stale.
As you've probably noticed, we've already switched things around, and brought back a fan favorite mode: Ghost Slipstream!
However, we're looking into the future and wondering what kind of event rotation should come to stay, and for this we need your help!
We're looking to answer multiple questions such as:
How often should we rotate modes?
Stick to the standard 2 weeks or even investigate options to offer a random mode every race?
What order of rotation would you like?
We’re wondering what you would prefer. Should we stick to a straight forward rotation of all modes? Or should we rely on a “Main mode” that will return every 2 or 4 rounds?
What would you consider the “Main Mode”?
A main mode is important, as it helps lead the kind of meta used in Multiplayer.
Classic has long been our standard for Multiplayer, but our players have also been quick to share their thoughts whenever classic mode returns.
What do you believe should be the main mode for Multiplayer?
Below you'll find the link to a very quick survey (literally just 4 questions), that will help us guide the future direction of our MP mode rotation.
So, please, TAKE THIS QUICK SURVEY NOW, and help shape the future of the World Series!
Those are all the incoming changes you'll get to experience next update, and we're always open to more feedback, so if you want to continue to have your voice heard, join our Discord and share your thoughts!
